Whitminster Village Hall is an excellent and versatile venue ideal for a wide range of activities – meetings large and small, classes and training sessions, private parties & special occasions, and fundraising events for local organisations.
Availability and Hall Booking
The Whats on in the Hall in December 2017 Calendar is updated with all planned events, and to book the Main Hall, the Meeting Room and/or Lounge and Bar.

The Hall is easily located and is immediately to the North-West of the Whitminster A38 Crossroads. Please download these directions as needed for your guests.
There are two function rooms available – the Main Hall and the Meeting Room (with Bar). We also have a large kitchen available.
The hall is available for hire between 8.30am and midnight, and we are licensed for music and dancing. There is also a fully licensed bar with bar staff available.
If you wish to sell alcohol you must apply for a Temporary Events Notice – see Terms and Conditions for details.
A Wifi connection is available on request with the exception of Disco’s.
The Main Hall has a wood block floor ideal for physical activities, and a high ceiling – which easily accommodates badminton and other indoor sports. The Main Hall and the Meeting/Lounge room can be hired separately or together depending on your event and availability. The kitchen is accessible from both areas.
The Main Hall is licensed for a maximum of 80 seated or 100 standing. It’s approximate dimensions are 13m x 6.0m.
Meeting Room/Lounge with Bar
The carpeted Meeting / Lounge Room can seat 24 people in a boardroom configuration or 30 people in a theatre configuration. It is equipped with wifi as well as internet LAN sockets. It is approximately 6.0m x 3m in dimensions.
The well-equipped modern kitchen is available to cater for over 80 guests. Equipment includes, cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, boiling water tap, double sink, hand sink and a low level bucket sink. The Village Hall has cutlery and crockery – however for children’s parties, we recommend you provide disposable cutlery and plates.
There are a range of bins in the kitchen for general waste; cardboard, glass and plastic; and food waste. Food waste however MUST be taken home at the end of your function. There are plastic bags within the food waste bins to make taking away your food waste easy. We also ask you if you can take your general waste away with you as we are limited for space in our own general waste bins.
There is a door to the Main Hall, the Meeting / Lounge Room and a store room for the chairs and tables.
Disabled toilet and baby change unit are located off the foyer with Ladies and Gents facilities (also suitable for children) off the Main Hall.
Access and Parking
The Hall has a dedicated car park to accommodate up to 30 vehicles. Disabled access at the front of the Village Hall is provided.
