What We Do
- Planning: Review and comment on planning applications.
- Representation: Liaise with Stroud District Council and central government.
- Community Support: Respond to resident concerns and ideas.

- When: First Wednesday of each month (except August)
- Time: 7:30 PM
- Where: Whitminster Village Hall, School Lane
- Public Participation: Residents are warmly invited. An open forum precedes each meeting.

Your Parish Councillors
David Paynter (Chair)
David has been part of the Whitminster community since 1993 and joined the Parish Council in the late 1990s. Initially focused on youth activities, he later developed a keen interest in local footpaths and produced the village footpath map, which he is currently updating.

Russell Hay (Vice-Chair)
Russell has lived in Whitminster for over 15 years and brings a practical, hands-on approach to the Parish Council. With a background in engineering and a keen interest in local planning and infrastructure, he’s passionate about making sure the village continues to thrive while retaining its character.

John Jones
John has lived in Whitminster since 1963 and has served on the Parish Council since 1978. With deep roots in the community, his background includes working at local farms and as a driving instructor. He also represents the area on Stroud District Council and is involved with the Village Hall and Playing Field Committee.

Pat Gilmore
Pat moved to Whitminster in 1980 and quickly became active in village life. Now retired, she volunteers with several local heritage and community groups including the Cotswold Canal Trust and Willow Trust.

Sarah Younger
Sarah moved to Whitminster in 2012 with her family and became involved with the Whitminster Funbags, helping to raise funds for the village play area. She continues her commitment to local facilities through her work on the Parish Council.

Graham Braidford
Graham has lived in Whitminster for several years and values the welcoming nature of the community and the surrounding countryside. As a councillor, he enjoys supporting local life and promoting Parish interests.

Tim has been a parishioner of Whitminster for many years and serves as Church Warden at St. Andrew’s Church. He also represents the Parish Council on the Whitminster Village Hall and Playing Field Committee.
