Walking & Cycling

The Cotswold Way snakes its way from the North to the South of the District, however there are a number of shorter circular walks which have been created so any visitor to the area can enjoy the countryside.

Whilst we wait for the updated Whitminster walking guide to be released, the image below shows all the Public Rights of Way in the Parish – available for all to enjoy.

Cycling

One of the best ways of enjoying the district’s beautiful countryside is on a bicycle.

Two cycle routes within the District form part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network. The Berkeley Vale to Gloucester Cathedral route is complete whilst the Stonehouse-Nailsworth route is complete between those two towns, via Stroud, but the links to the network require further work.

Stroud’s Tourist Information Centre stocks maps showing cycling routes in the area.
